What ONE support is
The Office national de l'enfance is the Luxembourg state service that arranges and funds support for children, adolescents, young people and their families. When a request for help is accepted, ONE agrees a support plan and covers the work of the specialists included in it.
I am an accredited provider — prestataire — for ONE. A family holding a referral can come to me for therapeutic consultations, and those consultations are paid for by ONE rather than by the family.
Everything else is exactly the same as in private work: the same 50 minutes, the same room in Bereldange or the same online session, the same confidentiality. The referral changes who pays, not how the therapy is done.
Who this support is for
ONE support is intended for children, adolescents and young people aged 2 to 27. Depending on the request, the work may also include consultations with parents and with the family as a whole.
Emotional difficulties
Anxiety, fears, difficulty regulating strong feelings, a child who is often overwhelmed and cannot say why.
Behaviour and school
Outbursts or withdrawal, trouble adapting to a new school, conflicts with peers or teachers.
Self-esteem and relationships
A child or adolescent who thinks poorly of themselves, or who struggles to find a place among peers.
Family crisis
Separation, loss, relocation — a change the whole family is living through, not only the child.
Traumatic experience
Painful events that keep returning and go on shaping how a young person feels today.
Parents
When it is the adults who need to understand what is happening and work out how to be alongside their child.
How to begin
The first step is an email, not a booking. Support under ONE starts with a conversation about whether this format fits your situation.
- Write to me by email and describe the situation in a few sentences — the age of the child, what worries you, and whether you already have a referral.
- We work out together whether this format fits. If it does not, I will say so directly and suggest where else to look.
- If you do not have a referral yet, I will explain how a request for ONE support is arranged and where it is submitted.
- Once the referral and the support plan are in place, we agree the times and begin. You do not pay for the sessions the plan covers.
Before you write
Do we pay anything at all?
Not for the sessions covered by the referral and the agreed support plan. If you later want to continue beyond what the plan covers, that part becomes a private consultation at the usual fee of €160 for 50 minutes.
We don't have a referral. Is it worth writing?
Yes. Write to me and describe the situation. I will help you work out whether ONE support fits your case and explain how a request is arranged and where it is submitted.
Is it as confidential as private work?
The therapeutic work itself is confidential in exactly the same way as a private consultation. Where the support plan requires anything to be reported, I will tell you in advance what is shared and with whom — you will never learn about it afterwards.
Can the sessions take place online?
Yes. Online works particularly well for adolescents and young people. With younger children we usually begin in person and decide together what suits them.
In what languages do the sessions take place?
In English and Russian.
Start with an email
Tell me briefly what is happening. I will reply and we will work out the next step together — whether you already have a referral or not.
