- Accredited Therapeutic Consultation Provider for ONE
A quiet, confidential space where you can pause, breathe out, and gently make sense of what is happening inside.
What the first session is like
The first session lasts 50 minutes. We get to know each other, you tell me what is happening, and together we decide whether we can work on it.
There is no need to tell everything at once. The work builds gradually, at your pace and with respect for your boundaries.
No tests, no pressure, no homework. All 50 minutes are yours.
Sometimes everything looks "fine" — but living feels heavy
You don't need a polished reason to come. It's enough that something hurts, or simply won't let go.
What I work with

Anxiety
Constant inner tension, anxious thoughts, panic states, the feeling that it is impossible to relax.

Emotional burnout
Chronic fatigue, loss of interest, emotional exhaustion and the sense that there is no strength left.

Relationships
Recurring conflicts, difficulty communicating, feeling lonely next to the people closest to you, crises in a couple or a family.

Parenting
Worry about your child, difficulties in raising them, emotional and behavioural struggles, guilt, confusion, and the search for new ways of relating.

Traumatic experience and loss of meaning
Hard events from the past, bereavement, inner emptiness, the sense that life has lost its direction and no longer offers the ground it once did.

Children and adolescents
Difficulties with emotional regulation, anxiety, fears, behavioural struggles, low self-esteem, trouble adapting and relating to peers and parents.
What I do not work with
I do not work with addiction, acute psychotic states, or situations requiring urgent psychiatric or medical care.

Hi, I'm Polina
I am a psychologist, an accredited therapeutic consultation specialist and an ONE service provider in Luxembourg. My work draws on the systemic family approach, child and crisis therapy methods, and EMDR.
Whatever brings you here, therapy will be about you first of all. Not only about what happens around you, but about how you live it inside.
I don't offer ready-made answers and I don't judge your decisions. What matters to me is that you never have to seem stronger than you are.
The session is time for you
Systemic family approach
We look not only at a single difficulty, but at how it connects to relationships, family history and your life situation. This helps to see familiar patterns and find new ways of relating.
EMDR
A method that helps to reprocess painful and traumatic experience, reduce emotional tension and lessen the hold the past has on the present.
Individual approach
Every therapy is built around the person, not around the method. I choose the format and the tools according to your request, age, state and goals.

Before you decide
How do I know I need therapy?
If something in your life keeps hurting, repeating or draining you — that's reason enough. You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis to come.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you tell me stays in the room. Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with Luxembourg law, subject to applicable legal and safeguarding obligations.
Does online therapy work?
Yes — research shows online sessions are as effective as in-person for most concerns. You just need a quiet place and a stable connection.
How long will it take?
It depends on your goals. Some questions resolve in a few sessions; deeper work takes months. We review progress together regularly.
Does the CNS reimburse psychologist consultations?
No. But many supplementary policies (complémentaire santé) reimburse part of the fee — check with your insurer.
What is ONE support?
A referral from the Office national de l'enfance. Sessions approved under the ONE support plan are funded by ONE. Any applicable family contribution is determined by ONE.
I don't have an ONE referral. What should I do?
Write to me — we'll work out whether this format fits your situation and how to start.
My space
The practice in Bereldange: a light room for adults and a separate corner for children. Have a look at where you will be coming — a place you already know feels less daunting.
The room
Soft light, an armchair and a few metres of quiet. You can sit down and say nothing at all for the first five minutes.
How to book a consultation
You can choose a time that suits you and book a consultation through Doctena.
Where the practice is located
Finding your way
- Enter the courtyard — you can park there.
- Take the lift to the 2nd floor.
If you can't find the entrance, call or write and I'll guide you.
In the end, everything will be alright. And if it is not alright yet, then it is not the end.
